Kindergarten and pre-primary school offer great opportunities for your little one to find out what school life will be like. Our early learning programs have been specifically developed to take advantage of these important early years – especially as the brain grows more at this stage than any other time in life!  There is a place for your child:
  • in kindergarten if he or she turns four years old by 30 June 2009 (Children born between 1 July 2004 - 30 June 2005).
  • in pre-primary if he or she turns five years old by 30 June 2009 (Children born between 1 July 2003 - 30 June 2004).

How to enrol?
To apply for a place for your child in a kindergarten or pre-primary program in a public school you need to complete an ‘Application for Enrolment’ form. These forms are available at your local public school or community kindergarten or can be printed from this page.

Application for Enrolment

Forms only take a few moments to complete and should be submitted at only one school or community kindergarten before Friday 24 July 2009.

When you make an application for your child you need to make sure that:
  • your child’s age entitles them to a place
  • your child is a permanent residence of Australia or holds a visa with an approved sub-class.

Mount Lawley Primary is considered a Local Intake School and if there are more applications than places available then
places will be offered in the following priority order:

Priority of Enrolment for Local -Intake Schools

1. Children living in the intake area of the local-intake school, who will have a sibling enrolled at the school, and who lives nearest the school.

2. Children living in the intake area of the local - intake school, who will not have a sibling enrolled at the school, and who lives nearest the school.

3. Children not in the intake area of the local-intake school, who will have a sibling enrolled at the school, and who lives nearest the Kindergarten or the Pre-Primary Centres.

4. Children not living in the intake area of the local-intake school, who will not have a sibling enrolled at the school, and who lives the Kindergarten or the Pre-Primary Centres.

Priority of Enrolment for Non Local -Intake Schools
1. Children living nearest the Kindergarten or the Pre-Primary Centres.  

     The map below show the location of our school in the Mount Lawley area and the Local Intake boundaries.
  
      Please Note: If there is more than one child in any of the above categories, priority will be given to children living closest to 
Kindergarten or the Pre-Primary Centres measured in a straight line from place of residence to the Kindergarten or the Pre-Primary Centres.   

Although applications close on Friday 24 July 2009, it would be appreciated if parents could return their

Application for Enrolment Forms as soon as possible.

Applications for Enrolment continue to be accepted after this date, subject to remaining classroom accommodation being available.

Parents are reminded that proof of residence is required when enrolling students in year 1 because we are a local intake school.

Parents are asked to bring a copy of their child’s Birth Certificate and an up to date Immunisation Record when returning their Application for Enrolment Form.
